catch up.......again!

I think I should rename my blog to "the catch up" blog. Well let's see where do I start....Caden still loves school. He got a little teary eyed when some boys were really loud in class and Ms. Heather had to reprimand the other boys. He likes everything in order and apparently things weren't going as well that day as the other days. I wish he would like to keep things in order at home......
Caden also started wrestling. He is in a tournament December 15 if anyone is interested. I'll post pics of it after. We are still going to our ECFE class, it's fun but I will be happy when it ends-2 more meetings left. I think we need some home time this winter-so I won't be signing up for the next session. Maybe in the Spring. We still have our MOPS 3times a month and Right at Home 4times. So we are busy.
I love that the "hot chocolate" days are here. So do my 2 little guys-yes I said 2. Colton loves it. Today he went up to the stove and pointed to the tea kettle. He is funny-I pretended to do it and gave him just cold milk and he put his hand on the sippy and pulled it away and put it back again. He knows it's suppose to be warm. This was all before tasting it! He is playing and remembering more. He likes to be chased and then comes back to you and laughs and wants to be chased again. Yesterday, Doug went upstairs to change into workout clothes. He didn't even make it down the steps before Colton saw him and headed to the basement door! He knew were daddy was going and he was going too! Silly boy.
We had Thanksgiving here and then headed to St. Leo for Doug's mom's birthday. We gave her this huge coffee cup/planter-she loves her coffee! Here is the card we gave her. The boys had fun with the photo shoot! (Click to make larger)It was fun getting to see almost everyone. Little Josiah was a doll-hardly ever made a peep. Colton gave Gracie a big hug and ended up laying on her! He kept leaning forward and Gracie is just this little petite thing and she went right over backwards. No tears were shed but Gracie just laid there with her arms straight up in the air after I took Colton off-she had no clue what was happening! Colton just stared giving hugs so usually Gracie did all the hugging. She wasn't expecting him to hug in return and with such force! Caden played board games with his cousins and aunts. And no Jackie I don't think he can convert me! I don't mind playing if I can move and not have to wait for other people-ask Doug- when we played cards I couldn't believe how long it took him to "think" about his move! Just lay a card! You don't have to memorize every card laid and in order!
We have a busy couple of weeks ahead, as I'm sure everyone does. I'm almost done shopping. I need to pick up a few things for my mom-then she'll be done shopping too!! Poor Colton he finally got 2 more gifts the other day b/c I had nothing for him except a toothbrush and 2 books. So he will have something to open when we celebrate our Christmas here at home.

Last week catch up....and lots of pictures

Into November we come. In a couple of months 2007 will pass by us and we will enter 2008. Can I say that the years are flying by? Forget about days, weeks, months......
We had a packed week last week. Caden loves being busy but I'm glad that some of the things we are signed up for are coming to a close. On Monday we did our ECFE class. Both the boys are still loving that. Colton even has a little girlfriend-Amelia. She came up and gave him a great big kiss. She loves to hover over him and he doesn't quite care for that but otherwise he is okay with a new little friend.
Tuesday Caden had school and Colton and mommy got to run and get 2 Christmas gifts done with-and let me tell you-2hours and 25 minutes is NOT enough time. Caden is still loving school. He is also doing very well in speech. His "f's" are coming out better and he is more conscious when he says a word that starts with a "F". He is so used to putting the T sound in front of those words that he has to think and relearn how the word really sounds. He is doing excellent. He told me Miss Anna is a Packers fan!

Wednesday usually brings gymnastics but this is one class that he is not liking anymore. I think it has more to do with the teacher. She is great with the kids but very overwhelming for Caden. She is very loud and right at you-not Caden's style. So instead of heading there we went to an ECFE party. They had snacks, games, crafts and face painting. A big plus was that was at Caden's school and he loves school. As soon as we checked in I heard a little voice say "mommy there's Colton. Can I play with him?" Yes, our little girlfriend, Amelia was there too. Good thing Amelia's mom is my friend, otherwise I'd think this woman and her 2 year old were stalking my son! Just kiddding-we love Lucia and Amelia! Later that night my 2 sons turned into a Ninja Turtle and an elephant. Doug took the boys out to a few neighborhood houses. Of course Caden wanted to keep going but he enjoyed his new job of handing out candy. He was stationed by the door with his bag, that he was eating out of while waiting for trick-or-treaters, and by the bowl of candy ready for duty. We also had a picnic in our front room so we could help Caden. While Doug and I weren't looking Colton went over and grabbed a spicy tuna wrap and started chomping away! I thought they were a little spicy but that child can eat anything! (remember you can double click on the photos to make them larger)

Thursday was a favorite day of Caden's again because of school. We dropped him off and then headed to church for our Right at home group. Colton is doing really well when I drop him off. I jazzercised and did a book study.

Friday was a big day for Colton. He got his first haircut. He didn't like that I put him in the chair and he also didn't like when the receptionist kept trying to get him to NOT cry. I think she was making it worse. Finally he realized that I wasn't going anywhere and she was combing his hair so he settled down. After his haircut he didn't want to leave the place.
Now we are off to start another week!
