May 22...

I know creative title right? Just thought I would sit down and let you take a peek into our week. Sunday night I spent most of the night putting together these MOPS recipe booklets. Forty booklets with-gosh I don't know how many pages I just kept hole punching them. Everyone liked them and they turned out really great, I think so it was worth the effort.
We finally had spaghetti....I say finally because we don't eat a lot of pasta. Both of the boys loved it. Colton had a great time eating.
When nap time is short we usually have a quiet time later. The quiet time usually isn't so quiet and when it is you start to wonder what is going on. So I went into the front room and this is what I found...ahhhh brotherly love.
The other night while Doug was grilling, the boys decided to go outside also. Caden started playing in the backyard but Colton would not budge from the deck. The reason? Our neighbors have 2 little dogs and when they are out Colton will stand there and not move. He just watches them. It is a great way to keep Colton on the deck though.
Today was such a beautiful day out that after our walk and watering our plants we decided to have lunch outside on the deck. I think we might have to make this a routine because both of the boys sat there and actually ate.
This last one isn't from this week but I found it on my camera. It is from Caden's last day of school. Ms. Heather was such a great teacher. We will miss her and going to school. Caden is excited for summer because after summer is kindergarten!

April mini vacation.....

I'm back tracking a little. Back at the beginning of April we headed down to Omaha for John and Becky's wedding. We divided the trip by stopping in Iowa, spending the night, swimming, and slowly heading over into Nebraska. Here are some pics from the trip.

After the wedding we headed back across Iowa because Doug had meetings in Cedar Rapids-that was one long trip! But the boys enjoyed the pool while daddy was at meetings. We had it to ourselves the whole time.
