Catching up but not caught up

We had a busy week this week! Every morning was filled with something. Monday was our last ECFE class. I'm not sure if I'll sign up for winter session-when I'm there I want to but....we'll see. Tuesday Caden had school and I went to a MOPS steering meeting. Wednesday we had a playdate and decorated cookies with Amy, Liv and Keira. The kids had so much fun! Amy helped me put a frame around our bathroom mirror (pictures to come) and I cannot wait to do it to all my mirrors! I have 2 people already wanting me to come and do their mirrors-help Amy!!!!! Thursday was our Christmas Tea at church and also my last Right at home meeting for this session. We are done until spring (March) session. I did find out that we are going to keep going with a book club during our break so that should be fun. It was a great time. Our director and the leadership team did an amazing job at putting together the program. We had a woman who is on our worship team come and sing a few songs she had written and then we also had a mentor mom come and speak about having a "Mary's Christmas". Today I hosted our MOMS Club Christmas Party. The kids had fun playing, met a new mom and ate some goodies (thanks Danise!).
Here are some of our advent activities that we did this past week.

December.....1,2,3,4,5,6

December seems to be the Decembers of long ago......We actually have snow on the ground, of course it isn't piled up to reach the garage roof like when I was younger but there is still snow on the ground.
I made a new advent calendar this year for Caden. I bought little gift card stockings last year after Christmas and put together some activities and scriptures I found online to go with it. Inside is a tag with an activity and piece of chocolate. Some days I have to change the activities around so they fit into my day but otherwise it is the first thing Caden goes to in the morning. December 1 and 2 went together....




With the big snow fall the snow angels were easy to make but the snowman will have to wait for another day......
Doug joined in on this activity...he was more excited than the boys.
The next 2 days are turned around... visiting Santa just happen to fall on the same day and we put out the shoes on the eve of the 5th sooooo.....we just went with the flow...
Caden did much better with Santa this year-although he did not want to sit on his knee. I told him before he didn't have to sit on Santa's knee and that it was kind of like Halloween were people dress up and this guy dressed up as Santa-that seem to help. Colton on the other hand....



We are winding down with our outside activities. ECFE will end this Monday for the session. My Right at Home has a Christmas Tea for our last day on Thursday (we will start up again in March I believe for Spring session) and MOPS will go for 2 more weeks-this coming Tuesday is our steering meeting and next Tuesday is our Potluck Brunch/Cookie Exchange. We will be heading out to St. Leo for the Braun Christmas Party so we will probably see some of you there!
