April wrap-up

Wow-I cannot believe the month of April is now going to be gone for another year. I still have some pictures from March I need to share!

Colton had his 9month dr. appt. last week.

All is well-17 lbs 11oz, 27 inches long and a head circumference of 17 7/8inches. He's still pretty much in the 10-25% for everything. He only had to get 2 shots this time and they weren't too bad-short little cries and all was over with. Caden was concerned about Colton though. He really didn't want his brother to cry-what a sweet big brother. I hope he always cares for Colton like that.

Crawling races are a big event at our house now...

Pulling up on everything and crawling up and DOWN stairs have also been main events at our place.

We went to the Minnesota Children's Museum last month. Here are a few pics....

We had a play date at Liv's house and Caden and Liv got to make their own pizzas!

And I thought wrestling was over for the year! Guess not, not when you have a house full of boys.....

This would be the "feet in your face move." Daddy used to be able to do this no problem but now someone got a little bigger so the move is in Caden's favor!

Now on to little Mister.....I was trying to get him to fall asleep for his nap in his crib (just like cousin Gracie-even told him she did it but he didn't seem to care!) I was sitting down across from his crib because he screamed when I left the room so I heard you could inch your way to the door.......ah yeah right! I sat there reading my book study book and he sat there crying and looking at me and then I noticed his voice seemed to be coming from "higher" and I stole a little glance up at him and he was STANDING in his crib! Time to bring the mattress down a notch. Little Mister is a Little Stinker! But a cute one...

Easter Gingerbread House

Grandma Gronke bought the boys an Easter Gingerbread House when she was here after my surgery. Caden had been asking everyday when the day would be that we would pull it out and decorate the bunny house. Well we finally got it out on Saturday and here are his results:)

And of course we cannot forget the little Mister-Caden's new nickname for Colton.

Happy belated Easter!

I hope everyone had a great Easter. The boys had fun at Grandma and Grandpa Braun's. It was again Caden's birthday-he got to open some more presents. I hope he doesn't think we will be celebrating his birthday for a full month every year! He got a cool game from grandma and grandpa. I guess grandpa picked it out-take a look.....

I remember this game when I was younger. Caden had soooo much fun with it.



Caden also got to dye eggs with Aunt Roxanne.

He was done before the eggs were though. Next year Colton and cousin Gracie will get to be in on the egg dying- that will be a fun mess:)


On Sunday Caden found both his and Colton's Easter baskets-fast! That Easter bunny will have to be sneakier next year. Later Aunt Jackie, Uncle Rick and cousins Derek and Jordan came out to St. Leo. Aunt Jackie puts on a big Easter Egg Hunt(because she and the Easter bunny are close-she knows where he lives)

Caden said this was his favorite thing. He got a bag full of eggs and candy. Colton even scored a few. Caden has affectionately nicknamed Gracie and Colton-Colton is big head and Gracie is little head-he calls 'em as he sees 'em! We left for home later and both boys fell asleep before we got to Clarkfield.

My Nuk...

Colton loves his nuk-more so than Caden ever did. I think we may have a little problem when it comes time to forgo the nuk. Caden only had his at nap and when out and about if he got cranky. Colton pretty much chews on his all the time. We are involved in more also so Colton spends time in the church nursery, MOPS nursery and Right at Home nursery-he gets cranky and they put in the nuk. Well a few weeks ago Caden was downstairs looking through the stuffed animal box and found a monkey I had when I was little (okay I was a teenager but it is a cute monkey!) and brought it up stairs. This little monkey has a nuk attached to it. Colton found the nuk right away and proceeded to chomp away. He got a little frustrated when the monkey kept coming with the nuk!

Happy Birthday Caden part III

Yes-another birthday post! just some pictures for this one.

Grandma and Grandpa Gronke got him a wonderful water toy that he should have fun with this summer...

And Grandma and Grandpa (or should we say Grandpa) could not forget the little man.....

He got some ducks to play with.

Aunt Vicky got Caden 3 books-we've read 2 of them and are saving the Easter story for Easter.

St. Patrick's Day?

Sure why not....So I'm a little behind on this post.....
A few days before St. Patrick's Day we went out and bought a Leprechaun trap (i.e. bug cage). Caden loved painting and decorating it. I do believe he may have gotten as much paint on himself as he did with the "trap".

After the paint dried we set the trap in the front room and hung some green leprechaun garland. We filled the trap with green coins for the Leprechaun to come and take. Good thing Caden is young and hasn't yet asked questions on how everything works. Daddy on the other hand needs to be gagged! Caden took my explanations very well on how the Leprechaun comes in and how he will go into the trap but the door will (somehow) close and he will be stuck in there because there is no door handle on the inside-we haven't learned about the push/pull thing yet!
Well the next morning Caden came into our bedroom and had forgotten all about it until I mentioned it. He had me go down the steps first and when I got half way down I turned around to look at Caden and his eyes were huge! That sneaky leprechaun left a trail of treasure from the trap to our front door!

Not only did he drop some of our treasure but also some from his little bag and the best part was the treasure he dropped was GOLD coins filled with CHOCOLATE (these are very rare gold coins as it took daddy a late day trip to 2 different stores to find them!)

The best part was Caden calling Daddy on the phone and trying to explain what he was seeing! It was so cute.

I think we have a new tradition started. Although after, he told me he had an idea on how to catch the leprechaun and from what I could understand it all sounds like an elaborate plan that I'm not sure I'll be able to re-create next year! Afterward he had a crate and was "trapping" all his toys!

But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, "You are my God."
